15 Oct Board Announcement

Following from the nomination process for AAA President and Director Positions, we are happy to announce that effective from the AGM in November, the new AAA President will be Brett Fallon from Western Australia. The officially appointed Board Directors are Carolyn Austin, Cathi McMullen, Mick Williams and Sarah Wheeler (with Trevor Parry and Prue Walduck whose positions were not up for nomination this year). As the number of vacant positions matched the nominations, no election was necessary.

Message from the Incoming President:

I am privileged to be stepping into the role of President as of the AGM next month.

Firstly, I would like to thank the current Board members for their support in taking on this responsibility and for their commitment with re-nominating to continue the good work. They are a great team, passionate about fair representation for all facets of our industry, and we have achieved some real positive steps forward for the Association in the last few months. It is always difficult to understand from the sideline the commitment that Directors make on behalf of us all, so I’d like to express how lucky we all are to have these volunteers.

I joined the AAA in my last year of school at 17 years of age, 19 years on, I have great confidence in the Association’s future and look forward to working with all members for the prosperity of the alpaca industry as a whole.

You’ll have access to the best information, support and services for managing and breeding alpacas in Australia.
